Lions Club titans in Nigeria fete International Vice-president

Vice-Governor Lions District 404B3 Lion Adelaja Adeleye, Governor District 404B3 Governor Lion Otunba Layi Fadairo, Lions International Vice-president Fabricio Oliveria and 1st Vice-Governor District 404B3 Lion Dr. Jide Bello, at a special MD 404 Nigeria banquet, held in honor of the International Vice-president on Sunday January 28, 2024 in Lagos.

MANY Lions across Multiple District 404 Nigeria and representatives from District 418 Ghana gathered in Lagos on Sunday January 28, 2024.
It was at a banquet in honor of the visiting Lions International Vice-president Fabricio Oliveria who arrived Lagos Nigeria last Thursday on a four-day visit in support of Nigeria’s drive for membership growth.
At the banquet, Lions International Global Action Team leader for Africa Constitutional Area 8B and Chief host of the event, Lion Gbolagade Adebisi, remarked that Fabricio Oliveria’s visit remain very impactful and thoughts provoking.
Adebisi has been assuring of Nigeria’s readiness to be a great supporter of the Lions Club International quest for increased membership in the “Mission 1.5 million members by 2027.”
In his opening remarks, Lions Multiple District 404 Nigeria Council chairperson Asiwaju Ayobola Samuel who was represented by District 404B3 governor, Otunba Layiwola Fadairo, commended the visiting initiative of the International 1st Vice-president noting that the visit is not only a booster to MD 404 Nigeria leadership but an indication for future mutuality and relationship once the First Vice-president takes over the association’s leadership
Other MD404 leaders who spoke at the banquet were past International Director for Africa Lion (Engr.) H.O.B. Lawal and in-coming International Director for Africa Constitutional Area Princess Adetope Tychus, beginning from the 2024/2025 Lions year.
Both Lion leaders reiterated Nigeria’s readiness to give her best in achieving ultimately the Mission 1.5m by 2027. They assured of the Nigerian Lions massive support for the in-coming year which will also mark the debut year for Africa Constitutional Area in-coming Director Princess Adetope Tychus.
Responding to all the entreaties and encomiums, Lions International 1st Vice-president Fabricio Oliveria thanked all Nigerian Lions particularly the leadership of MD 404 Nigeria for the great jobs they have been doing over the years.
He commended the varieties of laudable projects and service activities across the country, noting that the projects have been very impactful.
The international vice-president also lauded the hospitality of Nigerians, revealing that there had been no boring moments since he arrived Nigeria.
He said his engagements at the Concave had been truly revealing and engaging and assured that he would give his utmost support in ensuring that MD 404 takes massive advantage of the country’s population in improving on membership growth.

“I will be ready to come back again and again to Nigeria” because the country and the people are good, he added.
Oliveria would take over as International President of the largest service organization in the world come July, 2024 in Melbourne Australia after the Lions International convention.
