Edo 2024: ‘PDP ticket not for sale’ say stakeholders as Ighodalo gifts Sienna vans to PDP LGA chairmen

FORMER Sterling Bank board chairman now aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party for the Edo 2024, Asue Ighodalo has shared 18 2008-model Siennas SUVs to all PDP LGA chairmen in Edo State.
However, the Young Elites of Edo State says that, that scheming by Ighodalo is “a buy-out deal” bound to fail.
Mike Enahoro says he got information of the wagons-gate “from a platform called Ng Professionals 4 Atiku.”
But, Young Elites says this, “To replace the old paradigm of war with a new paradigm of waging peace, we must be pioneers who can push the boundaries of human understanding.
We must be doctors who can cure the virus of violence. We must be soldiers of peace who can do more than preach to the choir. And we must be artists who will make the world our masterpiece.”
It says it is verifiable on records that the “100% Homeboy” Shaibu is a man of peace, with an unquenchable fire of love and determination to salvage the good people of Edo State from its contemporary multiple-sector quagmire.
Meanwhile, activist Comrade Okhumale Tonywise has been talking about “Quality Leadership” in relation to Edo State deputy governor Comrade Philip Shaibu.
Okhumale fumes: “Never again, shall we enthrone an uncaring, insensitive, and unpopular Lagos boy.”
Now, he waxes philosophical:
“John Dewey, an American, was a strong proponent of democracy, who believes democracy to be the best means for meeting the needs of the public. In his book, The Public and Its Problems (1927), Dewey tried to reconcile civic engagement in American democracy with the depersonalizing forces of industrialism and capitalism.
While Dewey recognizes the importance of policy experts, he also argues that popular participation in government is necessary to uncover the problems we collectively face because experts will be too removed from the public to clearly see the problems people confront.”
Okhumale says, “Dewey’s way is exactly the need for us to collectively participate actively in the electoral process, and ensure that the right candidates are nominated, and Comrade Philip Shaibu of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) is fortified with the instrumentality of government, which will afford him the opportunity of putting smiles on our faces through quality leadership and purposeful governance.”
