Two more ministerial nominees face Senate

President Bola Tinubu has nominated two more as ministers.
Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim is primed as minister of Youth, pending confirmation by the Senate in line with the provisions of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to a release on Sunday by presidential media adviser Ajuri Ngelale, also nominated is Mr. Ayodele Olawande as minister of state for Youth.
President Tinubu charged the two nominees to ensure that they consistently reflect the dynamism, innovative zeal and unyielding productivity that are synonymous with the young people of Nigeria as they discharge their duties, Ngelale reported the president to have enthused.
Ibrahim is a young medical doctor and most recently served as president of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). She also served as senior special a (SSA) to Kwara State governor on sustainable development goals (SDGs).
On the other hand, Olawande is a community development expert and youth leader in the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
He most recently served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
