#AllEyesOnTheJudiciary campaigners storm on

Promoters of the #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary campaign have changed tack after government sacked directors of the advertisement control office of APCON (Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria) on Tuesday.

Now, they say they would deploy various other multiple-appeal media platforms to propagate their massage.

“Since [President Bola Ahmed] Tinubu’s errand boys want to frustrate our efforts by destroying the billboards, we are going to become walking billboards. Cars, bikes, keke, caps, T-shirts, phone cases, etc, are going to be screaming,” they said in a new post.

They insist that, “the real statistics say, HE Peter Obi won the election; his support base is purely organic, and we are all here for a New Nigeria that’s not built on tribe and religion, but common values that unite us all,” all legitimate opportunities must taken to right wrongs connected to the 2023 presidential election.

On Tuesday, government disbanded the Secretariat of the Advertising Standard Panel (ASP) over the professional body’s endorsement of the #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary billboards.

The authorities claim the approval was an attempt to manipulate the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. APCON director-general Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, announced dissolution of the ASP in a statement, saying the approval was inappropriate.
